2013 Refreshed Fiat Punto Sport Launched at Rs 7.6 Lakh

A day after its “Ultimate Rush” trailer, Fiat India has unveiled its New Punto Sport for 2013 as we had speculated. Sporting some cosmetic facelifts, this Punto does look sporty.

The sporty accessories on offer include metallic (aluminium) pedals and a chrome exhaust pipe. Also included are contrasting side ORVMs and an aerodynamic rear spoiler. There is a limited duration for which the decals will be available.

The Fiat Punto Sport will be liveried in two new shades one being the Exotic Red and the other being New Pearl White. The roof will be draped in a signature black touch. Other exclusive touches include a Sport Badge along with branded door sills. The floor mats are also branded, and come with red stitching.

On the electronic goodies front, the new Punto Sport is now equipped with a couple of Dual-Stage front airbags. Fiat’s Blue & Me technology is included, and so is an Automatic Climate Control System. The Punto Sport also boasts of a remote control for the audio system along with a speed-sensitive volume control. There’s an engine immobilizer with a rolling code, and ABS is present to keep the vehicle in perfect poise in all road conditions.

The Punto Sport is powered by the 1.3 L Multijet Diesel powerplant. It manages to churn out 93 PS @ 4000 rpm of peak power and a maximum torque of 209 Nm@ 2000 rpm. Fiat claims it will return a fuel-efficiency of about 20.5 kmpl under standard driving conditions.

Fiat has set a price tag of 7.6 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi) for the 2013 Punto Sport. This is apart from the 11 new launches that Fiat has promised till 2016. Fiat will launch new Punto towards the first half of next year in India along with the new Linea which they have already started testing on our soil.
