BMW has launched the new 2015 M6 Gran Coupe in India for Rs 1.17 crores (ex-showroom, Delhi). This uber luxury vehicle is one of the fastest models in the M line-up. The car gets a minor facelift which includes new Adaptive LED head lamps and slightly retouched kidney grille.
The same 4.4 litre V8 TwinPower turbocharged petrol engine producing 560 PS of maximum power in the range of 6,000 to 7,000 rpm and 680 Nm of torque which peaks in the range of 1,500 to 5,750 rpm continues to do duty. The car can hit an electronically limited top speed of 250 kmph and the sprint to a ton from naught takes just 4.2 second! The M6 Gran Coupe has been rated at a fuel efficiency of 10.10 kmpl!
Transmission duties are over looked by a 7 speed M Double Clutch Transmission with Drivelogic. This includes an adjustable shift characteristic, a Low Speed Assistance system with a crawl function for increased comfort in stop-and-go traffic and a Launch Control system.
Safety package includes a safety net of 6 airbags, Active Protection with Attention Assist and Active headrests (front), Active M Differential, M Dynamic Damper Control, M Dynamic mode and M Compound Brakes. Park Distance Control (PDC) rear and front along with rear view camera come as standard in the car.
The BMW M6 Gran Coupe also gets the iDrive system with touch controller and BMW Navigation Professional (GPS) with a 25.9 cm colour display with 3D maps, full-colour Head-Up Display with M-specific views, connectivity via Bluetooth and USB, Surround Sound system from Bang & Olufsen and BMW Apps.
