2015 Ssangyong Rexton Facelift Unveiled in Korea; May Come to India

Mahindra, the owner of Korea-based Ssangyong motors, already sells Rexton in India as the costliest car in their lineup, over XUV500. And the SUV has been a pretty decent seller in the premium D2 segment if we neglect Fortuner’s teasing sales.

The new grille reminds us of the Lincoln’s while the rest of the car continues to look pretty much the same as the outgoing model. New 2015 Rexton continues with the same 2.0L and 2.7L diesel engines as well as the 3.2L petrol motor. Out of these, Rexton is sold with the 2.7L diesel engine in India and the company showcased the Rexton with 2.0L motor at the Auto Expo in 2014, hinting at the possibility of it making to our shores, as a replacement to the bigger 2.7L motor.

Considering that not much has changed and it will not require any significant efforts, Mahindra should be launching the new 2015 Rexton facelift in India, possibly in the coming few months.
