As India awaits its turn, Honda has launched the all-new Jazz in Malaysia which only gets a petrol motor.
The new Jazz is a major shift from the older version and here are the main features of the new car…

- Touch screen infotainment system, touch sensitive automatic air conditioner and dashboard from the new City

The new Malaysian Jazz is powered by the tried and tested 1.5L i-VTEC petrol engine which we have seen on the new City. It produces 120PS of power at 6600 rpm and 145Nm of torque at 4600 rpm. It is mated to a Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT) box and is rated at a fuel efficiency figure of 17.81 kmpl. There is no manual transmission option available.
The new Jazz is 3995mm in length, 1694mm in width and 1524mm in overall height but for some reason the ground clearance is just 135mm. In Malaysia Jazz is offered in three variants – S, E and top of the line V. The lesser variants get 15 inch tyres whereas the ‘V’ variant comes shod with 16 inch alloys.
New Jazz Warranty and Price:
The car is available with a 3 years warranty or 100,000km (whichever comes first) and 6 months free service or 10,000km (whichever comes first). The base model Jazz S has been priced at Malaysian Ringgit 70,364 (~Rs 13.28 lakhs). The Jazz E costs Malaysian Ringgit 77,182 (Rs 14.56 lakhs) and the Jazz V has been priced at Malaysian Ringgit 84,974 (Rs 16.03 lakhs. All prices are ex-showroom, Peninsular Malaysia.

Honda is offering the new Jazz in an option of 5 colors.

In India, Honda will launch the car with the 1.5L diesel engine as well as manual transmission. Petrol motor will also be the smaller 1.2L i-VTEC from the Brio.
