Finally one of the best trucking companies is all set to make its foray into the European and African Markets by setting up localized chassis manufacturing facility in Turkey. Ashok Leyland has shaken hands with a company named Utikar to make chassis locally which will later be made into 6- 11 meters long with and trucks with the capacity of 9 tonnes, 16 tonnes and 25 tonnes.
With Katmerciler and Volkan they will also make special vehicles like garbage compactors, fire trucks etc. Being almost centrally located in Asia, the Ashok Leyland will have strategic benefit of transporting these products to West and Central Asia, Europe and Africa.
Except these inter-city and intra-city buses and trucks, Ashok Leyland will also set-up a Branch Office in Turkey.
