Trailblazer is powered by the second-generation 2.8 liter Duramax turbocharged diesel engine which is a 4 cylinder unit and churns out 200 PS (at 3600 rpm) of segment best power output along with 500 Nm (at 2000 rpm) of mammoth torque. It is mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission and comes in rear-wheel drive mode only. So there is no manual tyranny nor a 4 wheel drive yet.
According to CMVR Rule 115, Trailblazer returns a fuel economy of 11.45 kmpl and is bolted on a body on frame chassis with a 253 mm high ground clearance, guaranteeing fantastic off-road capability.
Trailblazer is only available in the top of the line LTZ trim and costs Rs 26,40,000 ex-showroom in New Delhi. Bookings have opened from today at Amazon.in at a price of Rs 25,000 and will continue till 25th. Local dealerships will also take regular bookings of the SUV.
