If you have enjoyed the merry time filling cheaper diesel in your cars, get ready to get over it! Government is planning to increase diesel prices by as much as Rs 4-5 and the hike is expected next month after the monsoon session of Parliament.
Not only diesel, petrol prices are also expected to get increased by Rs 3 a liter. For the last quarter Indian Oil Corporation reported its biggest ever quarterly loss and Oil Companies have been pushing hard for a price revision. This hike is expected after the monsoon session which is scheduled to end on September 7th.
