Since a few days, there has been a sudden spurt of spyshots of the new 2013 Skoda Octavia in India. The upcoming car has already been spotted in Bangalore, Mumbai and at Mumbai-Pune Expressway en-route to Chakan.
These new spyshots come from, interestingly, Goa! It appears that mules are on long distance testing spree. The biggest question that still baffles us, is the fact that Skoda is testing them without any camouflage whatsoever! There are two mules on display, one in navy blue color and the other one is white. These are the same cars that were caught in Mumbai.
The blue colored mule is a petrol which could be made from the ‘TSI’ badge. We are not sure about the white one. These Octavias do not carry the smoked headlamps and the glossy black roof which the Expressway mule sported. The very refined front face and a typical Skoda rear makes the Octavia A7 look really classy.
The sharp headlamps and the new butterfly grille go pretty well in sync. The airdam and trapezoidal fog lamps add a bit of youthfulness to the car. Based on the MQB platform, this car will be revolutionary in Skoda’s language.
Skoda Octavia A7 is expected to be launched towards the middle part of this year and will replace Laura in India. It will be positioned in the D-segment with expectantly, slightly lesser prices than the sibling Volkswagen Jetta.
