ContiMaxContact MC5 and ContiComfortContact CC5 will be manufactured in a new state of the art facility at their existing Modipuram plant with an initial capacity of 8 lakh tyres per annum. The company has chalked out a global strategy called Vision 2025 to increase and strengthen their global manufacturing presence with emerging markets like India getting top priority. Since 2011, the company has invested nearly 2 billion Euros in setting up facilities in countries like India, Russia, China and the USA. To make the productivity efficient from the beginning itself, the company brought in trained professional staff to train the local staff on handling the new machinery and production techniques. Moreover, more than 100 local employees were sent abroad to various international production sites in Germany, Romania, China and Malaysia for an all-inclusive and wide-ranging training in radial car tire production and technology.

Designed primarily for the Asia Pacific regions and further customised to meet the difficult needs set up by an average Indian consumer, the company hopes that these new tires will help the Continental brand grow its market share in the OEM as well as after-market business.

The Conti Comfort Contact CC5 is dedicated to the compact and mid-size level segment of passenger cars and made by using advanced silica compound technology that lowers the rolling resistance, thus improving the fuel efficiency of the vehicle. The silent tread pattern groove technology helps by acting as a noise breaker and has lateral grooves with an asymmetrical pattern rib. It has a very low road noise, good braking performance on wet and dry surface, and also boasts of one of the most comfortable drives in its class.

Conti Max Contact MC5

The Conti Max Contact MC5 is dedicated to the high end mid-size and executive segment of passenger cars. The typical German engineering has incorporated it with characteristic features like an asymmetrical tread pattern, chamfered blocks, new activated silica compound technology, and an innovative design for low noise, vibration and harshness performance. These features ensure that the tyre delivers good high speed handling and best braking performance under wet and dry conditions as well as a low noise level, high grip and maximum comfort.
