Datsun had an interesting lineup at the Auto Expo and they, for the first time, premiered the Go+ MPV in India. Datsun also confirmed that GO+ will be the second product launch from them in the country.
Go+ MPV was first showcased at the Indonesian Motor Show last year and ever since then the interest has been gradually building higher and higher. Here are a few interesting pointers, a couple of them will leave you really interested in it.
- Go+ is based on Go hatchback
- Go+ is a 7 seater MPV
- G0+ is a sub 4 meter car
- Prices are expected to hover around the Rs 4 Lakh price bracket
Initially Go+ will come only with the 1.2L petrol engine from the Go hatchback but later on we may expect diesel engines on both the cars. Datsun officially announced that Go+ MPV will be launched by the end of this year in India and will join the Go hatchback which will be launched next month.

Accommodating 7 seats in a sub 4 meter package will be a real challenge for the company and if they can provide a comfy 5 seater with additional 2 seats for not-so-well-built adults or kids, we can really expect the car to take off like crazy. However, interiors were just about average and cost cutting was present as evident. Despite that, for a sub 4 lakh entry price tag, we must say they were real good.
We are also really keen on driving this motor which comes with 13 inch tyres and if Datsun can consider a diesel earlier, we expect this to be the next big thing in the MPV space.
