Along with their Figo hatch, Ford India is also offering optional five year extended warranty on their EcoSport. You can now secure your car for up to 5 years or 1,00,000 km, whichever comes earlier.
This extended warranty scheme will have to be bought before the standard factory warranty of 2 years gets over. This scheme includes all mechanical and electrical failures with labour costs but does not cover maintenance service of regular wear and tear and accidental repairs.
Ford has also informed that the EcoSport has been judged as the highest ranked SUV according to J.D. Power Asia Pacific 2014 India Initial Quality Study (IQS). This study is based on assessments from 8,429 vehicle owners who bought a new vehicle between November 2013 and July 2014. It included 73 vehicle models from 17 makes and was conducted between May 2014 and September 2014 in 30 cities across India.
Ford has sold over 1,50,000 EcoSports globally with 52,058 units sold in India in the last financial year. They exported 55,178 units to international markets.
Last month Ford unveiled the 2015 EcoSport facelift, which was also snapped testing in India on 6th April.
