Interesting: Fiat Doblo MPV Spied in Pune; Do You See What We See?

Holly Molly! The Fiat Doblo has been shot testing in Pune, Maharashtra by the folks at myfiatworld.in. For those of you who do not know, the Doblo is a panel van, a leisure activity vehicle or let us call it as an MPV by the Italian automobile manufacturer Fiat.

Doblo premiered way back in 2000 during the Paris Motor Show. The car is well known for its versatility.

The present iteration of the Doblo is based on the modified Punto platform, called internally as the Small Wide platform, developed in collaboration with General Motors (Opel).

Doblo is powered by the 1.3L Multijet diesel engine along with 1.4L FIRE petrol engine, both of which are already present here. Along with other markets, Doblo is available in Brazil where it starts at something around 15 Lakh INR just a shade over Linea.

Doblo, the huge family car has a 1 ton trailer weight and a gargantuan 3200L of space to load whatever you want, literally whatever! The large sliding doors and wide opening back panel adds to the easy accessibility which the car offers. There are useful compartments throughout the car, including aeroplane-styled overhead storage, a parcel shelf, numerous cup and bottle holders and a lockable glove compartment large enough for your laptop.

Fiat has been crazy enough to craft storage compartments even into the floor. ABS, Electronic Brake Distribution are some of the many safety features available. And for all this, it is a 7-seater!

There has been no word as to whether Fiat will be launching the Doblo in India or not, but we would love to see it hit the Indian streets and go against the smaller Ertiga. How many of you would be interested in owning the Doblo?
