To fuel some kind of interest in the ever-falling Fiat car sales in India, the Italian giant has introduced two new variants of Punto and Linea specially for the festive season.
These Limited Editions are aliased as “Absolute”. This Diwali festive season will see exclusivity in the limited “Absolute” editions of Linea and Punto, with additional packages and offers, in the same price tag as the previous versions. With numerous discounts from Fiat, customers are sure to get attracted at a time when the Indian car market would get hotter.
Fiat is giving off 50% discount on insurance and free road-side support. This can save a sum of Rs. 57,000 for the customer on Linea Absolute branded edition.
So what is Absolute Edition all About?
The exterior design is all-over the same as of the older models but, the surprises are inside. The main attraction of the limited edition cars is the “CarTab” being offered with it, which has a 1.0 GHz processor running on the Android 2.3 platform. The tab is basically for GPS navigation, but also provides for phone, multimedia and Bluetooth functionalities.
Extra features like, the Parking System in Linea, the Mud Flaps, Branded door sills with car’s name, beige carpets in Linea and grey carpets in Punto, Absolute brand badges, chrome strip on the boot, also makes up for the magnetism towards the Fiat Absolute editions.
Fiat seems to be moving forward with an assertive strategy ever since they parted their way from Tata Motors. The cars were disclosed by Mr. Ravi Bhatia, Head- Business Development- Fiat Group Automobiles India Pvt. Ltd in New Delhi.
We do not expect newer models coming to us before Fiat sets sailing on its own in India and that might take some time and is hence relying on these Absolute editions to bring in some festive cheer.
But what we expect after that is a definite “All-Guns-Blazing” attitude from them and we have also talked about possible models from its International line-up that can make it to India.
