We have often come across people staying away from Ford, citing, high ownership costs as the reason. The company has been doing a lot to shed this image and has constantly taking steps to reduce the overall cost of owning a Ford car.
In a new initiative, Ford has launched ‘Happy Pocket Service’ which starts at fixed prices of Rs 2199. Now you can know the cost of your regular scheduled service of your car before sending it to your dealership. Ford says Happy Pocket Service is a competitive and very transparent service initiative which is aimed at reducing the overall ownership costs of Ford cars.
The Happy Pocket Service includes:
- report card check
- replacement of oil filter
- sump gasket
- usage of semi-synthetic engine oil
- Ford genuine spare parts
- Car wash
- Labours charges
This Happy Pocket Service initiative will be offered at all 274 Ford dealerships which are spread across 146 cities of India including all the upcoming ones. PK Umashankar, Vice President of Customer Service Operations Ford India said that this is the first time Ford is offering commitment to price transparency, value and quality. Happy Pocket Service will offer customers peace of mind and pay less to service their cars.
This seems to be an interesting initiative but we will wait and see how much difference will it be able to make to the actual owner.
