Here Comes the 2013 Aston Martin Vanquish in India at 3.85 Crores

Well, we clearly remember how every car enthusiast in India went gaga when the Aston Martin One-77 was launched. An astounding price tag of Rs. 25 Crores had almost dropped everyone’s jaws! Now it’s the Vanquish Grand Tourer, one of the most famous Aston Martin cars. The British company has replaced the DBS, which was also a Grand Tourer (GT), by the Vanquish.

The price tag of Rs. 3.85 Crore (Ex-Showroom, Mumbai) makes the Vanquish the second most expensive car of the Aston Martin line-up in India. The Vanquish will compete with the Lamborghini Aventador and the Ferrari FF.  This monster is powered by a Naturally Aspirated 6.0-Litre V12 Petrol Engine that produces 565 BHP. A 6-Speed Automatic Transmission makes it touch 100 kmph mark from standstill in 4.1 seconds flat!

The company decided to add the Vanquish to it’s Indian portfolio because they have noticed the fact that three-fourths of its sales in India come from its higher-priced models. Mr. Lalit Choudhary, Director, Performance Cars (Official Importer of Aston Martin Cars), said: “The initial belief was that we will sell a lot of entry-level cars like the Vantage and a few high-end variants, but it has turned out to be the other way around. Cars retailing at upward of Rs 2.5-3 crore account for 80 percent of the 40-odd cars we have sold so far”.
