Honda Mobilio Gets New Top End Variants – Features AVN & Rear Camera

Sailing on a stupendous wave of success, thanks to the new Honda City and Mobilio, Honda has gone ahead and given you one more reason to choose its new MPV over the competition.

The company has added an Optional Pack which would be available over and above the top-end petrol and diesel variants. So, now you would have Mobilio V(O) petrol, V(O) diesel, and RS(O) being the new top-end variants on offer. However, the deliveries of RS(O) will only begin with the RS from somewhere around the middle of next month onwards.

The Optional Pack provides Audio Video Navigation (AVN) and a Rear View Parking Camera. Honda claims that the AVN comes loaded with maps and its satellite-based voice guided navigation is the first in the segment. Plus, you can use its 15.7 cm touch screen to operate the music system and to also manage Bluetooth, USB, etc., connectivity.

While I cannot comment on the Audio Video Navigation system until we test it, the rear view camera should be a boon for every driver in our ever-increasing and worsening traffic. Moreover, it is one feature that should always encourage new drivers to take to the Mobilio as their first vehicle without having to worry about it being too big a vehicle for a newbie. I say that because I frequently get queries where budget is not a constraint, all-around visibility is, followed by vehicle size and manoeuvrability.

The new top-end Honda Mobilio variants will also have wood-finish inserts on the dashboard and door armrests.

With this, Honda intends to cover the higher end of the spectrum, possibly reaching out to the Innova customers as well. Although the overall prices of Mobilio are slightly optimistic, it has received a good response in the market so far.
