So, this is the first official word from Honda regarding the consideration of a compact SUV for the Indian market. Having said this, all our attention turns to the Jazz based Urban SUV Concept that Honda unveiled at the 2013 Detroit Motor Show in January this year (More Details & Pics). The mini-CRV looks smashing in its concept form and if the production version resembles this, it would be one of the best looking compact SUVs we have in India.

Honda will launch this Urban SUV in Japan towards the end of 2013. Let’s hope Honda decides on it real fast and we get it somewhere around 2014. Fingers Crossed!
