Hyundai Creta Anniversary Edition Launched with New Variants

Hyundai India has launched a special Anniversary Edition version of their highly successful compact SUV, the Creta. Based on the SX+ trim the SUV is priced at Rs 12.24 lakhs for petrol and Rs 13.76 lakhs for the diesel version (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi). Hyundai has also introduced a S+ (diesel) and E+ (petrol) trim levels.

Mechanically the special edition is powered by the same 1.6 litre petrol and 1.6 litre diesel engine. Transmission options though will be limited only to a 6 speed manual unit. Exterior paint scheme has been limited only to Polar White. The regular introduction of new variants has significantly helped the Creta maintain a steady sales volume. Other features in the Anniversary Edition includes:

The new S+ variant, limited to diesel, has been priced at Rs 13.59 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). Available with an automatic transmission, it is cheaper by a lakh green leaves than the SX+ automatic diesel. It does miss out on a rear wiper, projector head lamps and auto climate control. What has been made available though is a 7 inch touch screen infotainment system with 6 speakers, Bluetooth connectivity, dual airbags, ABS, fog lamps and 1GB built in hard disk.

The new E+ trim level will now sit right above the entry level petrol option. Priced at Rs 9.99 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), it gets roof rails, electronic ORVMs and rear AC vents. It also gets a 5 inch touchscreen infotainment system with steering mounted audio and bluetooth controls.

Apart from this the South Korean car maker is also expected to raise prices of products throughout its product range by Rs 3,000 to Rs 20,000. Just like Maruti, the reason being given is increase in raw material prices and rising dollar.
