Hyundai believes that having a car in every segment and engine option will propel their market share and give them a good chance against Maruti Suzuki which also follows a similar philosophy. The Grand i10 was a result of this gap-plugging effort where they filled up the gap between the i10 and i20.
And now, in order to extend the acceptance of Grand i10, the company has launched the LPG edition of the popular car which has already sold over 1 Lakh units within 10 months of its launch. The details have been updated at the official site as well as on the official brochure (which has been appended in this article as well).
Interestingly, Grand i10 LPG gets a new 1.0L 12 valve 3-pot kappa dual VTVT LPGI engine which will run on both petrol and LPG. The engine churns out 69PS of power @ 6200rpm in petrol and 67PS in LPG mode at the same rpm. The torque output is 92.18Nm @3500rpm in petrol mode and 90.22 Nm in LPG mode at same revs. The transmission duties are fulfilled by a 5 speed manual gearbox. Grand i10 LPG comes with a 34 liters LPG tank.
Hyundai calls this as the blue drive technology which they say is eco-efficient. It involves 3rd generation port injection and complies with OBD II and BS IV standards. This engine option though, is available only in the Magna variant with some clever engineering in the boot to accommodate the gas tank without hampering the rear storage space to a great extent. Hyundai is offering the LPG Grand i10 with 2 years unlimited kilometers warranty.

Grand i10 Petrol, LPG & Diesel Price Comparison:
Apart from the new LPG fuel option, Grand i10 is already available in petrol-only and diesel options. Here is a quick list of price differences between the Magna variant of these different models.

As you can see, Hyundai has placed the new Grand i10 LPG exactly at the mid-point of price range of petrol and diesel Magna. The LPG variant is about Rs 40,000 costlier than regular petrol and approximately Rs 48,000 lesser than diesel.
