Hyundai has launched a salvo at the fast growing compact sedan segment with their Xcent. The proceedings are going on in Delhi and here are the quick bits coming right from the venue.

- Xcent continues with the same 1.2L Kappa Dual VTVT petrol engine and 1.1L 2nd Gen U2 CRDI diesel engine
- Xcent petrol delivers 83PS of power output and 114Nm of torque
- Xcent diesel churns out 72PS of power outout at 4000rpm and a higher 180Nm of torque between 1750-2500 rpm
- Xcent will be available in 6 colour choices
- As expected, the petrol gets the option of 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic box, whereas the diesel is available only with the manual gearbox

Coming from the Hyundai stable, this is surely going to be a winner.
I have booked xcent pristine blue petrol. I think it will hit the market since it is a compact family sedan with all features.
I would love to buy “XCENT”. May be by early part of Jan.2015. Its a lovely car for a small family.
