Isuzu MU-7 Automatic Launched at Rs 23.90 Lakhs

Isuzu introduced their lanky SUV MU-7 in India in 2013 and based on customer feedback they have launched its automatic variant in India today at prices of Rs 23.90 Lakhs ex-showroom in Delhi. Towards the end of last year, Mitsubishi also launched an automatic version of their Pajero Sport.

MU-7 AT sports the same 4 cylinder 3 litre Intercooled VGS turbo diesel mill which churns out 333 Nm of peak torque in the range of 1,600 to 3,200 rpm. This is lesser than 360 Nm (between 1800 to 2800 rpm) of the manual variant. A confirmation on the power figures of the automatic is pending. Manual produces 163 PS at 3600 rpm.

The SUV now sports a new 3 spoke steering wheel with audio controls and a two tone dashboard with high gloss lacquer finished wood trim. It also gets a new Kenwood 6015 BT music system with satellite navigation. The touch screen display also backs up as a display for rear view parking camera and sensors which is another addition in the MU-7.

Isuzu MU-7 is fitted with independent double wishbone, torsion bar spring and anti-roll bar for the front which is complemented with rigid gas-sealed shock absorbers at the front and rear to offer a fatigue-free driving experience.

The automatic MU-7 continues to be a brought to India via the CKD route and is assembled at Hindustan Motor’s Thiruvallur facility near Chennai.
