Ford first showcased their new Fiesta at the Auto Expo 2014 and speculations of the company pricing it at luring tags makes everyone wait in anticipation. With newer spyshots coming in thick and fast, Ford seems to be preparing it aggressively for a grand launch.
Once again the Fiesta facelift has been spotted doing rounds, close to the company’s factory in Chennai by Indianautosblog.com. The new Fiesta spied here carries the Kinetic Blue colour, different from the earlier brown and maroon themes. We only have a single rear pic of the car which appears to be the top-of-the-line Titanium and yet again diesel TDCI!
New Fiesta’s Aston Martin motivated trapezoidal front grille and mobile phone inspired dashboard along with the new Ford SYNC AppLink, for voice activated commands seem to be clearly hinting that Ford is targeting a younger audience band this time round.
The huge doors are prevented from being totally bland with the very interestingly placed shoulder line which holds the door handles aesthetically. The coupe like roofline also has a charm of its own. There are also reports of the automatic headlights feature which the Auto Expo model had and might just be included in the production models as well.
There have been confusions with regards to the engine new Fiesta will sport. The 90PS 204Nm 1.5L TDCI diesel is a given and is expected with a few tweaks. There are various speculations on the petrol engines. Some reports say that it will continue with the same 1.5L Ti-VCT petrol motor, others say it may just get the awaited 1.0L EcoBoost motor from EcoSport while the remaining say the new Fiesta may NOT get a petrol engine at all!
The EcoSport seems to have given Ford the much needed boost which they have been searching for quite some time now and with the new Fiesta, they will just hope to receive a similar response. We have already busted in our earlier spyshots that Ford is getting prepared the promotions of the car at an ad agency in Gurgaon and launch is just around the corner.
