Lodgy Launch Confirmed for Early Next Month; Specs & Features

We have driven the Renault Lodgy in Bangalore in the recently conducted media drive and the review is coming up soon. The upcoming Ertiga and Mobilio challenger is set to be launched soon and there were expectations that the company may introduce it within this month, however….

…that is not going to happen. The Lodgy, according to an official tweet by Renault India, will be launched in April, most probably within the first half. Here are the specs and features of the car as were revealed during the drive…

The Lodgy uses the same dCi diesel mill displacing 1,461 cc and just like the Duster it is available in two power modes:

  • A slightly detuned version producing 85 PS of power at 3,750 rpm and 200 nm of torque at 1,900 rpm. This version is mated with a 5 speed manual transmission and returns a rated fuel efficiency of 21.04 kmpl.
  • The other version which produces 110 PS of maximum power at 4,000 rpm and 245 Nm of peak torque at 1,750 rpm. Transmission duties are overseen by a 6 speed manual gearbox and it returns an ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 19.98 kmpl.

Lodgy is 4,498 mm long, 1,751 mm wide and 1,697 mm in terms of overall height. The wheelbase measures an impressive 2,810 mm and has a real good leg room. The MPV is available as a 7 seater as well as an 8 seater version which will provide options for large families. It gets a touchscreen MediaNav infotainment system with Aux-in, USB and Bluetooth and gets a 4 speaker setup. It also gets power sockets in all three rows and roof mounted 2nd and 3rd row air con vents.

The seats get premium two-tone Gris Fume and Beige Alpaga quilted leather upholstery. The second row seats can be split in a 60:40 ratio while the third row seats can be split at 50:50 ratio. The safety net includes ABS, EBD and Brake Assist and dual front airbags for driver as well as passenger. The infotainment system also doubles up as a display unit for the rear parking sensors and camera.
