Mahindra XUV500 Soon To Be Exported to Italy, Australia & Chile

After South Africa, the Mahindra XUV500 is all set to sail to the shores of Italy, Australia and Chile!
Earlier in February of this year, M&M President Mr. Pawan Goenka said that in order to meet the domestic demands, they are going slow with the international launches.

But now M&M is done with the necessary adaptations required for the overseas market like meeting Emmision Norms, Left Hand Drive etc.
As per PTI, Mr. Ruzbeh Irani, M&M CEO, International Operations (Automotive and Farm Equipment Sectors) said:
“We plan to go ahead with our international launches of XUV. Italy and Australia are planned shortly. These are vehicles adapted to the needs of these markets.”

But Mr. Irani didn’t specify any timeline for the overseas launch of the vehicle; he just said:
“We are evaluating timing of launches in various markets – Chile and Australia are our priority. We will assess the overall capacity and domestic demand to decide on the launch timing.”
Mr. Goenka said that they have decided to slow down on domestic demands but will concentreate in supply of overseas markets.
Well, this is surely something that can have a negative imapct to the execessive demands of the SUV.
Mr. Goenka also said that the production capacity of the company will be increased to 4,000 units per month by May, and eventually to 5,000 units a month; where as it used to be 3,000 units per month.

As a matter of fact M&M is still pending to deliver 7,500 orders of XUV500 that were selected through lottery in India.
“XUV is a global vehicle designed for international markets, it is important that we supply to international markets.” Mr. Irani added.
