Maruti Celebrates Ertiga’s First Anniversary with Special Edition Feliz

Maruti Ertiga has taken the utility segment by storm, and has won over quite a few hearts with its “LUV Appeal” ever since it was launched. The car has been a runaway hit and the sales charts are soaring, and it seems they will keep going northwards. Infact, Japanese car-maker Mazda has been roped in to help the Ertiga spread its wings in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, the country’s largest carmaker seems to have its hands full. We can’t really say Ertiga was bad to look at, but Maruti Suzuki, following its tradition, has decided to provide some of their Ertigas an extra bit of grooming and styling with a Special Edition which will be nicknamed “Feliz” (Any connection with “Felicitation”…we aren’t sure!), and will sashay down the assembly line with added glitz and sheen.

According to these Ertiga Feliz brochure scans by Cousins of Cars, this Special Edition Ertiga Feliz has generous dollops of silver all around itself, with silver painted front grille, silver fog lamps along with silver ORVMs as well! As usual, there is the addition of new body graphics as well as rear spoiler.

Stepping inside the car, one would see “Feliz” all over the place, with the seat covers and car pillows announcing that at the top of their voices. Beige is something else one wouldn’t fail to notice which is now spread across to the steering wheel and seat covers. New Ertiga Feliz also gets new floor mats as well as the door-sill guard.

Ertiga-Feliz-Details

If you thought the new Feliz was just bloody-good-looking-but-dumb, then think again. Maruti Suzuki has provided a “Swiss Army Knife” style seat back-pocket organizer, so you will never run out of space for small tidbits. A new rear parking sensor equipped with a digital display has been the latest addition to the Ertiga’s repertoire, and it will make life a lot easier.

Unfortunately, this Special Edition is available only in the VXi and VDi variants. You have to let go of the ABS, airbags and stylish alloys if you like the Feliz’s additions. There has been no official word on the actual price though. We will let it out as soon as we get to hear something.
