Yesterday, the interior shots of Ciaz were making news and today we see that it will get projectors in addition, at least from what can be inferred from these test mule pics.
These pics shared at Gaadiwaadi.com reveal the same test mule from the front and they have marked the projectors in red as well.
Neither the new City or Vento, Ciaz’s two major competitors, sport projector headlamps, however, in its 2014 edition Hyundai’s Verna does come with them.
After having known the other features of this Ciaz mule, we can safely assume that this is the top of the line ZXi or ZDi car running around with alloy wheels, leather seats, adjustable driver seat and other high-end-variant features.
Ciaz will be a replacement for SX4 which has been reportedly discontinued and on the looks and features front, it really appears all set to impress its buyers. However, not everything is as rosy as it seems at this moment. According to speculations, Ciaz will continue with the 1.3L DDIS Multijet diesel engine pumping out power and torque in the region of 90PS and 200Nm respectively.
The 1.4L petrol engine, although new, has been borrowed from Ertiga and even it doesn’t really appear to be something which would/could excite the masses, specially those who prefer driver-oriented cars.
Maruti’s Ciaz will also get automatic transmission in addition to the regular manual transmission and is expected to be launched before or around September this year.
