Maruti launches special editions of Celerio, Swift, and Dzire!

While everyone is expecting the new facelifts of the Swift and the Dzire models to be launched anytime now, Maruti Suzuki has just launched special editions of both the Swift hatchback and the Dzire sedan to make space for the upcoming new cars in their showrooms. The company has also launched a limited edition of the Celerio too!

Maruti-Celerio-VXi+

The special editions are dubbed ‘VXi+’ for the Celerio, ‘Silver Plus’ for the Swift, and ‘Regalia’ for the Dzire. Let’s quickly see the additions Maruti has made to the three cars, and help you decide whether the extra stuff is worth bringing your cheque books out of the drawers.

Maruti-Celerio-VXi+Features

The Celerio VXi+ gets the following goodies:

  • JVC double-din stereo with two speakers
  • Central locking system with remote
  • Body-coloured outside rear view mirrors with integrated turn indicators
  • Body-coloured door handles

The total cost of the added equipment is INR 20,000, but the Maruti is giving it out for INR 13,990 in the Celerio VXi+.

The Swift Silver Plus packs in the following:

  • Sony audio system and speakers
  • Reverse parking sensors
  • Cellphone holder and charger
  • Seat and steering covers
  • Neck pillow and back cushions

The Dzire Regalia gets a slightly different set of kit:

  • Reverse parking sensors
  • Signature wrinkled seat covers
  • New floor mats
  • Body graphics and decals
  • An interior styling kit (we seriously don’t know what this one entails; you may call up the dealer to know more if you’re interested.)

Maruti claims that these accessories would normally cost INR 31,745 and INR 18,810 for the Swift and Dzire, respectively; however, the Swift Silver Plus will have you pay INR 27,500 (benefit of 4,245 rupees) for the listed equipment while the Dzire Regalia brings its share of extras for INR 13,800 (you save around 5,000 rupees). Out of the three special/limited editions announced by Maruti, it’s the Celerio VXi+ that looks like the best deal to me…
