The MINI Cooper S Carbon Edition has just been added to the list for a price tag of Rs 39.90 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi)! The Mini Cooper S Carbon Edition is available exclusively on Amazon India as a Completely Built-Up unit (CBU). The Carbon Edition combines the Cooper S model with a John Cooper Works Tuning Kit, and accessories. BMW claims that the tuning kit helps improve the performance of the car and gives it a racy feel. The booking amount payable via Amazon is Rs 50,000.
For a tad under 40 lakhs, six lakhs more than the standard edition, you get a carbon fibre finished power unit! The 2.0 litre TwinPower turbo churning out 210 bhp between 4500 to 6000 rpm combined with peak torque of 300 Nm between 1250 to 4600 rpm. That’s an improvement of 18 bhp over the normal Mini Cooper and one gets 20 Nm of extra torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed sport automatic transmission with paddle shifters on the steering wheel.
A 0 to 100 kmph sprint takes 6.5 second.

The Mini Cooper S Carbon Edition is a pretty safe car. Standard safety equipment comprises of front and passenger airbags, 3-point seat belts, ABS, Dynamic Stability Control, crash sensor and cornering brake control.
