Honda’s upcoming 7 seater MPV is set to be released in a few days, and they seem to be leaving no stone unturned to make the Mobilio a resounding success.
Their most important tool in that being an aggressive marketing strategy. While they kept the Next-Gen City project a well-kept secret, their strategy with Mobilio is completely different. They have been aggressively promoting it with many videos, commercials are aired on TV, print ads and outdoor hoardings. And now, their official website reveals some more details about the car.
The Mobilio will feature the 1.5L i-DTEC with 100PS of power. The EarthDreams Technology engine is already in use in the Amaze and the City where it returns a certified mileage of 25.8kmpl and 26kmpl respectively. The Mobilio being an MPV, is bigger and heavier, so its fuel efficiency was expected to be slightly lower.
Honda has uploaded the official economy figures which stand at a phenomenal 24.2kmpl, making it the most fuel efficient MPV in the country. In comparison, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, the Mobilio’s biggest rival for now, has an efficiency figure of 20.77kmpl from the 1.3L DDiS engine.
Bookings of Mobilio are already underway and you can pre-book the car by sending an SMS <MOBILIO> to 53030. The car, following the man maximum machine minimum philosophy, reportedly has good interior space.
