New Maruti Alto K10 Launched at 3.06 Lakhs: Country’s Cheapest Automatic Car: Pics, Price & All Details

Maruti Suzuki today launched its new 2015 Alto K10 at a starting price of Rs 3.06 lakh (ex-showroom) in New Delhi. The top-end variant is priced at INR 3.80 lakh (ex-showroom) in Delhi, still making it the cheapest automatic car that one can buy in India!

The new car is taller and wider and that means there is more space inside the cabin now, and though it has also become shorter in length, Maruti claims that the wheelbase length has not been compromised. So, you should not be worried about the leg room and now even the front seats’ rear has been scooped out to generate more space for your knees.

New Alto K10 Engine

The new Alto is powered by the same engine and though there are no changes in the power and torque figures, Maruti tells us that the engine has been redesigned and ‘light-weight material has been used in engine auxiliaries to help bring down the kerb weight.’ The company also claims to have ‘optimized’ the gear ratios of the five-speed manual for better drive and fuel-efficiency. We can confirm the former only after a road-test which would also tell how good is the 15 per cent increment in fuel efficiency in real world driving conditions.
