Michelin has launched a new tyre range in India from their existing international portfolio called as the Michelin Latitude Sport 3. The company claims that the new product offers a safe and silent ride to provide driving pleasure and performance. Part of the third generation family of Latitude on-road SUV and CUV tyres, the Latitude Sport 3 is available in different sizes between 17 inch and 19 inch rims.
The Latitude Sport 3 tyres have been certified by many leading car manufacturers and are already offered factory fitted in many of their models which include the Porsche Macan and BMW X5.
Available across the country at Michelin premium dealerships, Michelin Priority Partners and the Tyre Plus network, these tyres will be offered in 4 sizes to equip the widest possible number of SUVs/CUVs already on the road like Audi Q7, Porsche Cayenne among others, in the first year of their sale.
The company claims that the Latitude Sport 3 saves 2.7 meter in case the vehicle has to stop rapidly on wet roads, when compared to the previous generation Latitude tyres. Apart from an innovative tread layout the company uses special compounds with latest generation of elastomers for longer life and a 2 ply casing to provide enhanced strength. Apart from better grip, Michelin also says that the Latitude Sport 3 will also help in increasing the fuel efficiency of the vehicle.
