New official video confirms Kwid’s Indian launch ‘Soon’; For some reason misses out Scala, Pulse & Koleos
Remember, we told you that Renault may start production of Kwid by end August or early September, inferring a launch very soon (report)? Here comes an official confirmation of that…
In a new video, done by A.R. Rehman and Ranbir Kapoor, Renault has teased the Kwid and there is an official ticker ‘Coming Soon‘, which signals that the company has started its early promos and they are bracing up for its launch, which could happen as early as next month.
Notice the sub 40th seconds of the video embedded here at the bottom which features a red colored Kwid in motion, followed up with Ranbir Kapoor standing beside it.
Now this has to be a very close to production unit and we can not fail to notice..
- a very muscular face which reminds us of Duster
- Black cladding upfront, on the sides and most probably rear as well (not visible) to enhance the muscularity of the car.
- Puny tyres – most probably 13 inchers
- No alloy wheels – those are wheel caps
- Black colored ORVMs
- Oddly placed front tow hook
- Long traditional radio antenna
- Absence of roof-rails

Apart from this, the new promo video features the Lodgy Stepway variant, Duster in the lead role and a very small sneak of Fluence. Interestingly, low sellers like Koleos, Pulse and Scala have not been included for reasons best known to Renault…
I watched this video. The advertisement covers all range of Renault cars in India. Good to see Renault Kwid at the end of the video. Looking forward for the complete TVC.
