New Ritz Facelift Coming by This Year End

Maruti Suzuki’s Ritz was launched in India to spread and share Swift’s spiraling volumes and the car in almost every sense is as good as the Swift apart from its rear design which is truly European but not everyone’s cup of tea.

Although not as huge a success as Swift, Ritz still ends up being one of the impressive sellers in the hardly fought B2 hatchback segment. Of late, Maruti seems to have put it on the backburner and it has largely been running without much promotions and some massive discounts.

Some predicted that, with the introduction of Celerio, Maruti may discontinue Ritz, however, it just did not make much of a sense to us even then. And a new report at Business Standard claims that Maruti Suzuki has planned, amidst its new launch blitzkrieg, the facelift of Ritz towards the end of this year, most probably in December.

Considering what has gone to the new Swift, Ritz facelift may also get similar changes like a fresher face with minor cosmetic enhancements, more features and equipment and importantly the new more frugal petrol and diesel engines.

Specially the diesel version of Ritz is being offered at some real heavy discounts which range upto 80,000 or more at the current moment. Before the new Ritz, Maruti has plans to launch the premium hatchback YRA which will sit over Swift.
