After being in the news for long, Maruti has finally launched the shortened version of its entry level sedan, Dzire. The Dzire now becomes more of a notchback than a sedan with the cut boot. This allows Maruti to fit the new Dzire in the ‘Small’ car category.
Prominent changes & features:
- Smaller Boot @ 316 liters
- Approx Rs 25,000 lesser than the existing ‘longer’ Dzire
- Changes to front grille, stylish bumper, beige interiors and alloys
- 1.2L petrol engine – 86 BHP @ 6000 RPM, 11.6KGM @ 4000 RPM
- 1.3L Diesel Engine – 74 BHP @ 4000 RPM & 19.3 KGM @ 2000 RPM
- Impressive introductory price tag of 4.79 lakhs for Petrol and 5.8 lakh for the diesel

Vxi – Rs 5.32 lakh
ZXi – Rs 6.19 lakh
Automatic:
Available in VXi petrol – Rs 6.54 lakh
Diesel:
