The much awaited Maruti Suzuki Swift facelift has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 4.42 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), which puts the base petrol variant at the exact same price as of the outgoing version. Although mechanically the same, the car sports a few cosmetic changes and goody upgrades.

New Swift Facelift Features & Changes

  • The base L variant gets nothing apart from a more aggressive looking front bumper and a bigger air dam.
  • There is still no information about what’s new in the LXi (O), our best guess is that it gets just the new music system.
  • The VXi/VDi trim gets a new integrated music system and electronically adjustable Outside Rear View Mirror (ORVMs) with integrated indicators. It gets L-shaped silver ascents which look like LED DRLs of the international Swift facelift. Though not confirmed but the diesel VDI may get ABS as standard. There are no airbag options though.
  • The top end trim ZXi/ZDi gets all the goodies, which include airbags and ABS, push button start, ESP, reverse parking sensors and new 12-spoke alloy wheels, electrically folding ORVMs and Bluetooth controls on the steering wheel.
