Yes the facelifted Swift has been making news for sometime. The car has been selling like hot cakes right from day one and it still features in the top three selling cars in the country month after month. This is a clear indication that everything is all set and Maruti is about to launch the car anytime now…
The car has managed to garner a fair bit of attention even with the competition donning new clothes in the form of Polo, Punto EVO, elite i20 etc. Many decorated models of the Swift facelift are seen in these pictures which will be used for Test Drives at the various dealerships in the country. These will also be used for marketing the car, showcasing the various new features to the customers etc.
Ciaz saw the 1.3L DDIS churn out an industry leading mileage of 26.21 kmpl and that has raised hopes that Maruti will whip out the same magic on the new Swift diesel, which means we may expect some breaking ‘certified’ fuel efficiency figures. We also have some speculative bits which suggest Maruti may also launch an automatic version of the car, possibly an AMT…
In terms of changes, the new car sports some real hard-to-notice changes like DRLs, boring new alloy wheels and a few other very minor bits. But as a compensation, it will get some more features and equipments like Push button start, keyless entry etc.
With this development, you can expect an official announcement on its launch dates from Maruti anytime soon.
