Yesterday it was Datsun that announced discount offers on its small car Go, and today we talk about Renault India which has straightaway slashed 52 thousand rupees off its Duster’s ex-showroom price!
However, the discount is only applicable on the entry-level diesel variant (RxE), which, now at INR 8.18 lakh, becomes more approachable as compared to the regular price of INR 8.70 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
Morever, the company is also offering a 2+2 years or 80,000 km extended warranty. But it’s a limited period offer and has been extended only till 15 September 2014. Booking the Duster now will also get you free insurance, free road side assistance for four years, and an assured gift worth INR 20,000 – that’s a lot indeed!
The Duster RxE diesel is powered by a 1,461 cc engine featuring common rail direct injection technology. The unit produces 85 PS at 3,750 rpm and 200 Nm torque at 1,900 rpm. It comes with a five-speed manual transmission.
As mentioned above, this limited period offer has been extended by Renault to the 15th of this month and deliveries of the vehicle have to be taken by the 30th Sep. Oh yes, the scheme will not be applicable on other trims and variants, however, I believe that other than the outright 50-thousand-rupee discount you should be able to haggle your way through and get most of the aforementioned additional benefits…
