Renault at Auto Expo: Bigger 1.0L Kwid & Duster Facelift Confirmed

1.0L Kwid will come with an optional AMT. Duster facelift will also get an AMT gearbox

Renault India has officially confirmed that they will be launching/unveiling new versions of the Kwid along with the Duster facelift at the upcoming Auto Expo. Set to be unveiled on February 3, the new Kwids will help the brand further grow its sales volume which has already reached 6888 units in December 2015. Ever since its launch in the month of September, the car has racked up total sales of 17,932 units.

At present Kwid is powered by an all-new 799 cc three pot petrol mill mated with a 5 speed manual gearbox and returns a fuel efficiency of 25.17 kmpl. The French automaker will add a bigger 1.0 litre mill to the line-up to stack the car in a better position against the Maruti Alto K10 and others. Kwid will also see the inclusion of an AMT gearbox which will add to the convenience levels in city drives. This AMT box is expected to be limited to the 1.0 liter engine only.
