If you flip here, we had shared that Ford’s small car codenamed as B562 is expected to world premiere in India and it is expected to launch by 2015. In a confirming development, Hormazd Sorabjee, Editor Autocar India, has tweeted that Next-Gen Ford Figo which is codenamed as B562 will world premiere at 2014 Auto Expo, however, launch is slated for sometime in 2015.
Figo has been the makeover car for the once-ailing Ford in India. It brought back energy and momentum to Ford’s Indian sales which have been taken to new heights by EcoSport. Figo is possibly the most important car for Ford and a lot of people are interested in the changes/updates Next-Gen Figo will come loathed with.
While the positioning of B562 aka Next-Gen Figo is expected to be similar, but it will be built on an all-new platform. The most important bit we have shared with you is the big possibility of the introduction of 1.0L turbocharged EcoBoost petrol motor which already does duty on the EcoSport.

It will be manufactured at Ford’s new Gujarat plant and will go on sale sometime starting 2015. Development on the compact car is already in full swing and test mules have already been spotted many times in international markets. New Figo is being manufactured as an international model and will be launched in many markets like Brazil, China among others.
What the current Figo excels in is the value for money prospect it brings to the table. We hope, with the introduction of the 1.0L EcoBoost petrol motor and comprehensive updates, Figo also gets classified for its performance and engineering prowess.
