Maruti Launches Limited Edition Ritz Elate at Rs 20,000 Premium

In order to bring back its decent-selling Ritz to the headlines, Maruti Suzuki has launched a new Limited Edition of the car called as Ritz Elate.

The handsome Ritz sells about 4,000 units a month giving sibling its Swift a much needed respite. Ritz Elate Edition, as expected, carries some new stickers and features.

Ritz Elate Edition Features:

This is nothing but a new body kit Maruti is offering on the car for a limited period (that’s what Limited Editions in India are all about!). Ritz Elate comes with 12 new features which are offered at fairly decent prices.

On the looks front, the door panel sports an ‘Elate’ logo and it continues over the profile to spring into a wide scape of multi-colored graphics. Apart from that the more usable features are…

  • 2 DIN music system with speakers
  • Orange trimmed seat covers
  • Assistive reverse parking sensor
  • Bluetooth Kit
  • Black door visors
  • New floor mats
  • Multi-purpose bag (where? for? we don’t know!)
  • New ambient lighting
  • Neck cushions
  • Sturdier mud flaps
  • New steering wheel cover

Ritz Elate Edition Price:

According to what one of the dealership guy told us, Ritz Elate will cost about Rs 20,000 over the regular Ritz and you can have it in any variant you like, petrol or diesel. Basically, its just the installation of the kit which the company will provide.

Engine options and everything else continues to be the same:

  • 1197cc K series VVT engine producing 87PS of power @6000rpm and 114Nm of torque @4000rpm. Transmission duties are fulfilled by a 5 speed manual or 4 speed automatic.
  • 1248cc DDiS engine producing 75PS of power @4000rpm and 190Nm of torque @2000rpm. Transmission options are the same 5 speed manual and 4 speed automatic.

Ritz claims of a fuel efficiency figure of 23.2kmpl for the diesel mill while the petrol boasts of 18.5kmpl for the manual and 17.16kmpl for the automatic gearbox.

The company is running very impressive offers on both the petrol and diesel variants of Ritz, some to the tune of about Rs 60-70,000. We hear that Swift and Dzire are about to get a facelift, however, for the Ritz, Maruti hasn’t planned anything yet.
