If you are one of those who prefer driving more on the non-existent roads rather then on the hard tarmac, we have two very important 4×4 SUVs coming to India just for your kinds and very soon.
Tata Safari Storme:
Tata Safari Storme would be launched on 17th October in India and has been one of the most eagerly awaited hard-roaders for us, mortals. Tata Safari Storme would be powered by the 2.2L VERICOR Diesel engine which is said to be vastly improved from the current tune of Aria’s.
At an expected entry price tag of something around 9-10 Lakh, Tata Safari Storme would make a compelling buy for sure. However, the 4X4 variants are definitely expected to be around 12-14 Lakh territory. Check more pics here.
Force One 4X4:
The other BIG launch impending from Pune based Force Motors is the Force One 4×4. Current Force One is only offered in a 4×2 guise without ABS. In its new iteration, Force One would be launched with 4 wheel drive and possibly ABS.
There is no official communication from Force regarding its launch date, but we do expect it to be launched somewhere this month. Force One 4×4 would be powered by the same 2.2L Mercedes sourced common rail diesel engine which would belt out 140 hp of power and 320Nm of torque. Expected to be priced somewhere around the same bracket as Storme, it would be interesting to see the end-result.
