According to unconfirmed news, Hyundai might launch the gorgeous looking Neo Hyundai Elantra on 13th of August in India. Hyundai opened bookings of the car on 16th July by airing it at the top of their voices on all major newspapers and launching a dedicated site for Elantra.
When we contacted the local dealers in Pune, we were told that we can book the car by paying an amount of Rs 25000 which is fully refundable in case we cancel our bookings at a later date. They also informed us that they have been told that Elantra would be priced between 13-16 lakhs and would come feature loaded.
The display and test drive cars have not arrived yet and are expected to arrive only after official launch.
What we already know is that Elantra would come in both Petrol and diesel options. A 1.8L 146bhp motor would be charging the petrol variant whereas the 1.6L diesel mill from Verna would power the diesel Elantra.
