Just yesterday we shared with you a pic of an MH (temporary) registered dealer Ford Ecosport which confirmed that this compact SUV has started reaching dealerships.
That was the Ecoboost petrol variant which was spotted in Mumbai. Now, flip one day and we have a spy video of a Ecosport which in all probability is caught somewhere in Chennai. Considering that this is the diesel version that is continuing its test runs, we just get the feeling that Ford might launch the Ecoboost loaded petrol variant first (which have probably reached dealerships). Launch of the diesel Ecosport might happen a little later.
We already know that Ecosport will be powered by a 1.0L turbocharged Ecoboost petrol engine along with the 1.5L Diesel mill from the Fiesta. There have been rumors of the 1.5L Fiesta Petrol mill also on offer but according to our estimations it will not be a part of the list [Read Reasons]. At best, the 1.5L petrol can find its place in the Automatic Ecosport which is also coming to our shores.
