Maruti Suzuki is not ready to gloat on the recent launch of the Ciaz SHVS and has introduced a new variant of the mid-size sedan and is calling it as Ciaz RS. Before you get too excited with that suffix, let us tell you that this is merely a cosmetic package which is added to the regular ZXi+ and ZDi+ variants.
The company has also recently introduced dual front airbags and ABS as standard right from the base variant. Maruti claims that Ciaz RS will help in enhancing the aerodynamic efficiency of the car which will go a long way in improving the real world fuel efficiency. Our question is – if it enhances that, why not offer it in the regular variants?
Here’s what has been added with the RS package:
- Front under spoiler
- Side under spoiler
- Trunk lid spoiler
- Rear underbody spoiler
- Sporty black interiors
- Grey chrome finish instrumentation panel
The company has so far sold over 56,000 Ciaz sedans since it was launched in October last year.
Ciaz RS Color Options
The Ciaz RS will be available in the following 7 colour options:
- Pearl Snow White
- Pearl Dignity Brown (metallic)
- Pearl Sangria Red
- Silky Silver (metallic)
- Glistening Gray (metallic)
- Pearl Midnight Black
- Clear Beige (metallic)

Maruti Ciaz RS has been priced at Rs 9.2 lakhs for the petrol version and and Rs 10.28 lakhs for the hybrid diesel variant (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
