According to the annual BrandZ Top 100 global survey conducted by market research company Millward Brown, BMW has overtaken Toyota as the most valued global automotive brand at a brand value of $24.6 billion.
The erstwhile leader, Japanese major, which suffered due to natural disasters, stood second at $21.8 billion. The German luxury car maker, Mercedes rose and stood at the 3rd place with a value of $16.1 billion.
In the overall ratings, Apple topped the charts followed by technology giants IBM and Google at values of $182.9 billion, $115.9 billion and $107.8 billion respectively.
