Suzuki YRA Spotted With MS Badge, Possibly for the First Time

Through various different spyshots, interiors as well as exterior, it is very well known that Suzuki is planning to launch their new premium hatchback which will be a global model and at least in India, it has been codenamed as YRA.

This YRA, which will sit over Swift, will be taking on the Elite i20 and others. While the company has tried to very secretive about the project, spy shots of the upcoming car have surfaced quite frequently. But so far, all the spy pics carried Suzuki badge at the rear and possibly for the first time, the car has been spotted with a ‘Maruti Suzuki’ badge which clearly means that this model is for our country.

In the last few pictures, we have also noticed minor changes to the rear including tail lamps in different mules. Talking about what we see here (courtesy Gaadiwaadi.com), this is one confused looking rear end of the car. It begins as a larger version of the Swift and in the mid-way forgets about it and starts incorporating certain traits from the Alto! The tailgate appears to be pretty small and things are minimalistic back there.

The tail lamps have LEDs arranged in a circular order, which look just about decent, but that tail lamp cluster feels a decade old. While the front is not clearly visible in these pics, but as we have seen earlier, it wins no beauty contests either.

According to earlier reports, we understand that YRA will be 90kgs lighter than Swift and more spacious. There are more details which you can check here.

Official unveiling is expected within a few months and its Indian launch may take place towards the end of next year or early in 2016.
