Re-entering the Austalian market, Tata has considered Xenon to be the best product for them to take their proceedings forward. In an earlier press release, Tata has announced that Xenon will be launched in Australia in October and here we are with the official details…
Tata informs that the Australian Xenon is designed specifically for that market and this probably hints at Tata making some market specific changes on the vehicle. It comes with the same 2.2L Euro 5 compliant engine in cab chassis, single cab and dual cab versions. It is available in both 4×2 and 4×4 driveline options.
Australian Xenon gets the following features:
- Driver and passenger Airbags (standard)
- Power Windows (standard)
- Bluetooth & USB Connectivity (standard)
- Touchscreen navigation system (Optional)
- Reverse sensors and reverse camera (Optional)
In Australia Tata is offering a 3 year/100,000 kms warranty as well as 3 years roadside assistance on Xenon.

Tata has priced the Xenon in Australia at 22,990 Australian Dollars Drive Away! When equated in Indian currency this translates to approximately Rs 13.6 Lakhs!
It is to be noted that the Indian Xenon XT comes only in the dual cab version and it is the Xenon crew cab which is available in both single and dual cab versions but it comes with the older 3.0L motor.
Tata currently has 15 dealerships in Australia and Fusion Automotive as the local partner. Light commercial vehicle segment is the the third largest in Australia and it has as many as 13 major brands slugging it out for a pie in both 4×2 and 4×4 segments.
