Tata Safari Storme is 6000+ Bookings Strong

Tata has been going through a real rough patch where at least two of their prime products are doing absolutely dismal shows at the sales tally – Nano and Aria

Tata seems to be bleeding with an utterly underperforming Aria. They have tried a lot with Aria but the potent crossover just fails to attract customers. However, the life savior for the company, it seems, comes in the form of a Storme! Its the Tata Safari Storme which has taken up the task and is doing it up for the Pune based auto major.

According to Tata Motors, the latest offering Safari Storme has a huge demand in the market. The SUV is sitting on more than 6000 bookings currently and it must be remembered that the SUV has not even made it to all the markets of India. We had actually anticipated a glorious start for Storme considering the hype it had built up before its launch.

Tata is expected to launch the car in all the markets of India by February which is when we expect the demand to rise even more. Safari Storme is running into a waiting period of more than a month in the cities where it has already been launched. Tata considers Storme as a premium SUV and feels that it will not cannibalize into Aria’s sales despite Storme’s pricing venturing into Aria’s territory. However, with the kind of sales Aria is notching up these days, there doesn’t seem to be anything to snatch from it.

Tata also said that they would continue the existing Safari with DICOR engine which starts at 8.44 Lakhs with the Storme at 9.95 Lakh for the base variant ex-showroom Chennai.
