Even if you do not want to see it coming to our roads, Toyota has decided, it will! At the Auto Expo today, the Japanese maker, known for its drab looking cars in India, has introduced a forced crossover hatchback, Etios Cross.
Etios Cross is the first crossover coming from the house of Toyota and is available in both petrol and diesel engine options.
Here are the main features of the car:
- Grille Guard
- rear and side cladding
- Diamond Cut Alloy Wheels
- Roof-rails
- New Front grille
- Fog lamps and integrated turn indicators
- 2 DIN Audio with Bluetooth, USB, Aux-in and Remote control
- Rear defogger with wiper
- ORVM integrated turn indicators
- Piano black interiors
- Audio controls on steering wheel
Etios Cross Colour Options:
Toyota has tried to lend the Etios Cross a wee bit of sporty touch with the introduction of the new Inferno Orange colour option and we must say they are utterly unsuccessful at that. In total Etios Cross is available in as many as 8 colour options:
- Inferno Orange
- Ultramarine Blue
- Classic Grey
- Symphony Silver
- Celestial Black
- White
- Vermilion Red
- Harmony Beige
Etios Corss Engine Options:
Surprisingly, Etios Cross is available in not one or two but three engine options.
- 1.2L Petrol which produces 80PS of power output at 5600 rpm
- 1.5L Petrol which produces 90PS of power output at 5600 rpm
- 1.4L Diesel which produces 68PS of power output at 3800 rpm
This simply means that, against our thought, Toyota is considering the Etios Cross as a mainstream product along with the Etios twins.
Toyota will offer the Etios Cross in two grades each in both petrol and diesel.
Etios Cross Price, Launch and Deliveries:
Toyota will launch Etios Cross in May 2014 in India and that is when they will also announce its official prices. However, bookings of the crossover hatch open from today.
