Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo Limited Edition Launched at Rs 24.26 Lakhs

Exactly a year ago, Toyota launched the TRD Sportivo variant in India during the festive season (story here). Replicating the same story we have the new limited edition TRD Sportivo Fortuner launched yet again, however there is a minor difference.

First let us talk about the main features of the 2013 Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo, if you really feel the desire to know about them! (coz they are exactly the same as last year)

  • TRD engraved sporty side body stripes
  • Rear roof spoiler
  • Rear TRD Sportivo emblem
  • Radiator grille with TRD emblem
  • Aerodynamically designed dual tone front and rear bumper spoiler
  • Available only in 4×4 Manual Transmission

Toyota has shared that only 400 units of this limited edition variant will be produced to keep an exclusivity. However, we can reveal that there will be 400-500 more during the next festive season. 😉

Fortuner TRD Sportivo Colors

Toyota has made this limited edition available in two color options:

  1. Super White
  2. Super Mica Metallic

Last time Toyota introduced this TRD Sportivo variant only in the 4×2 manual and automatic guise. However, the change this time is that this limited edition comes only in the 4×4 manual variant.

Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo Edition Price

The last time when Toyota launched it, it was priced at Rs 21.75 Lakhs but that was for the 4×2 variant. This 2013 Fortuner TRD Sportivo comes only in the 4×4 manual transmission version and here are its prices.

New Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo Price: Rs 24,26,347 Ex-Showroom Delhi

Every other little screw (obviously including the engine bits and other mechanicals) remains the same and this is just a sticker pasting job that Toyota has undertaken. There will not be even a zilch of a performance improvement which makes it hard to justify the TRD Sportivo moniker!

The regular 4×4 manual Fortuner costs Rs 23.50 Lakhs (Ex-Delhi)

This means, for being exclusive and with those ‘TRD Emblems’ all around the SUV, you will need to pay more than Rs 75,000 extra. If you feel it justified, head to your nearest showroom as only 400 units are available which Toyota intends to sell till December 2013.
